More dense and more powerful than even its glorious predecessors, Monolithe IV is a colossal apotheosis, marking the end an unforgettable journey that began ten years earlier with the cult album Monolithe I. The album is the last chapter of the Great Clockmaker saga as well as the last album to date to feature only one long song. M4 is actually the longest MONOLITHE album, clocking at 57'00. While the album is sometimes said to be difficult to get into due to its density, it is also the epitome of the band's early Busy Extreme Doom style. 2 track album. MONOLITHE IV, by MONOLITHE. Monolithe IV is overall nothing short of a powerful depressive doom metal release. Every aspect of it is not only done right, but it is done better than many other bands of the same caliber. Any fans of the genre are highly recommended to this album, and it may even serve well as a gateway album for doom metal newcomers if they have the patience for its length. Of course I already knew the debut but I think I like this one more. Good, atleast I don't have to argue with you when it comes to doom albums. But it still is one of the great doom albums of this year. And distinctively Monolithe-y in its own right. So, darn good I say. One thing to love in this album are the amazing choruses
